4th Card

Here comes the next card. As you know I'm on vacation until Tuesday. We head home tomorrow. We've had a great time, very relaxing. We got here on Friday, then went to Reno on Saturday. Spent Saturday and Sunday there. Watched people and gambled. Won Sat., gave it back on Sunday. Came back to Carl and Kims on Monday, they beat us back. We've have a good visit. They both had to go back to work on Tues. so we just layed around. I read a book and started another one. I don't get to read much at home have to many things going on. We're having a bar-b-q this afternoon with some of the friends we've made here. Then bright and early tomorrow we head home. Think Jake will be glad, cause he's not allowed out here. We're kind of afraid he'd wonder off. He does love looking at the rabbits and whistlepigs (ground squirrels).

Ok here's today's card. The stuff I had to use was a red button. I had just been in a stamped image swap and received this dress stand image. I had seen a card in one of the magazines I get that used a button with a dress stand, so I kind of copied it. The paper is all CTMH, so is the image. I tied embroidery floss through the button. The little black things are like half rounds from CTMH. I'll have a couple more to share later. Until then have a wonderful Easter.

Bobbi

3rd Card

It's raining, it's pouring and the ground is loving it. You can see the grass getting greener by the minute. The trees are playing havoc with my allergys. So I'm a sneeze and blow girl this week. Haven't decided which card to share. So will put it up then tell about it.

This was the first one I came to. The stuff is the die cut flower. I used black cardstock from CTMH and some rice paper I had in my stash to put behind the flower. I thought it just had an Oriental look to it, so I dug out a stamp I bought a few years ago at a Stamp Show, not sure of the company. It's stamped in Cranberry ink (CTMH) and edged with a gold ink pen and layered on black cardstock. I really like the die cut and will be checking into where it's from.

If I have time I'll share another card tomorrow. I need to be getting my school stuff done as I'm off on vacation during Spring Break and taking an extra day. So if you don't see a post you'll know I off having a fun time. I'll post the rest when we get back.
Many hugs,
Bobbi

2nd Card from Stuff

Good Morning,

It's trying to rain here, wanting to make up for snow. We need it so I won't complain. Maybe it'll clear the air so I can breathe, allergys are kicking my tush. Before I go to far into sharing my card I have to tell you how excited I am. Close to My Heart finally gave all the consultants a website. This will be so much easier for some of my customers that live out of town and state. My site address is http://bnessly.ctmh.com/ I'll be linking my blog to it.

Now for my card share. Todays stuff was a background piece, it was from a cuttlebug folder that looked like the bark on a tree. I really racked my brain on this one. The stamp is from Peddlers Pack that I bought years ago. I used Chocolate and Parchment markers from CTMH. The paper is Chocoate and White Daisy from CTMH. It is edged with Sunflower ink (CTMH) on the inside is a rope and the word Howdy these are retired from Stampin Up. The brad is from my stash. It's plain but most of my cards are, my model was done in Cotton Candy but that was alittle to bright for the background. I liked this one much better. I still have 3 to go, so keep watching.

Been awhile

I'm back for a minute for an update. Still busy but took time out to join a swap. It was called a Stuff Swap, where I recieved 5 items and had to use them in cards. Before I start I need to update you on happenings since Christmas.

We spent a wonderful almost 2 weeks on the other side of the mountains at my daughters. Gave them a break and went to Shelton, a small town out of Olympia and taught a TIPS class. What a beautiful area. It's mostly trees, mountains and water. Our motel, thanks to the Little Dog Casino was right on the water. Not only did we look and water but it poured buckets of it. Was fun though. On the way home we stopped to spend our Christmas presents. Chucks was for fishing supplies, my at the craft store. I bought a die set from Spellbinders. Then the first of the month we went to Wenatchee to Costco. Had lunch with my oldest son and was close to the fishing supply store, so he had to get more goodies. What's good for him is good for me. I bought 2 more Spellbinder dies. I'm happy. Didn't have any snow. Have only had a little bit all winter. Suppose to rain today, hope it's not like it was over there.

Now to the card. The hostess sent 3 white flowers. I'm not much on using these, so wasn't sure what to do with them. I'd been wanting to try out my new die cuts so grabbed some paper and started cutting. I love the stamp I used, it's been discontinued from CTMH. But you know me I don't get rid of anything. I embossed it gold to match the gold background, then started mounting the layers. When it came to the flowers I put them every different direction. Decided this was the best. After I got it all together I saw that I could have moved them up alittle, but there fine. The centers are gold brads from my stash.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think. If I get time tomorrow I'll share another one. I have 4 more. They go out in the mail today, hope who ever gets them likes them.

Until the next time, have a wonderful day. Don't stress the small stuff.

Hugs,

Bobbi
